VoIP Feature: Anonymous Call Block

Know Who Is Calling

When you turn on the Anonymous Call Block or Anonymous Call Rejection option on your phone, a caller who has blocked his identity will not be able to reach you.

Some VoIP providers have the added feature by which such anonymous callers are informed that you are not accepting Caller Id blocked calls. If they want to get to you, they should reveal their identity by turning off Caller ID blocked feature and dial again.

This VoIP feature is very useful to keep out the telemarketers and pranksters from wasting your time.

Normally telemarketers and pranksters do not like to reveal their identity and so will be put off. On the other hand a person who wants to call you for a legitimate reason will not hesitate to reveal his identity and so can get to you. This is a very useful feature and is normally provided by all VoIP service providers.

This is a good feature to ward off unwanted calls by telemarketers but VoIP phones also provide special feature just for blocking the telemarketers from wasting your time and keep your phone unnecessarily engaged and consequently missing important calls. Click here to read about this feature.
