VoIP Feature: Do Not Disturb

There is a time when you don't want to be disturbed by incoming phones - sleeping, studying or engaged in an important meeting or just plain relaxing with family or friends after a hectic day at the office.

If you use the traditional telephone line, the only thing that you can do in such a situation is to take the handset off the hook and give the caller a busy signal. You won't be disturbed but you may miss an important call if it comes during the time your telephone is out of reach.

With an internet phone, however, you have a solution. Turn on the Do Not Disturb feature of your VoIP phone and all your calls will be automatically diverted to your voicemail, without ringing your phone.

Special Options of This 'VoIP Phone-only' Feature

You can also set up the time during which the Do Not Disturb feature will remain on. For example, you can choose not to receive any phone calls between 11 pm to 7 am. so that you won't be disturbed during your sleeping hours. All calls during this time will go straight to your voicemail which you can check later.

Another thing with this feature is that you can divert only specific calls to your voicemail while receiving others.
