The advantage of this multi ring or 'locate me' feature is that you don't miss any important call no matter which of your phones is available at the moment. If no phone is picked, then your call is diverted to your voicemail.

Moreover, with this feature you don't have to give more than one phone number to your contacts when you have multiple phone lines such as a cell phone and home and office phones.

However, when your primary VoIP phone sends a call to your other phone, it counts as a call from your VoIP phone for which you have to pay the charge according your service plan.
